A few years ago she shattered her one hip and 6 surgeries later, we were able to save the leg.  Truly a miracle.  It doesn’t have strength to it but it is still there.

Then this past weekend she fell and broke her other hip.  Surgery went well but as anyone with LBD, there are issues.  And anyone in this date and time of COVID and hospitals there are issues.

Oftentimes care giving is waking up (if you weren’t awake throughout the night) and dealing with the issues in front of you.  It is frequently changing and volatile.  One day at a time.

For example, it is -8 chill factor with a temperature of 5 degrees F.  The electricity went out and called the electric man and thankfully they came out quick.  Went to start my car to go to work and the battery is dad.  So is our plugin battery charger.  Called AAA and am waiting.  And at the same time mom is in the hospital from the hip fracture and is having trouble waking up (which she has had before).  Want to go see her but the car has to be jumped first and also the hospital bed delivery man comes in a few hours.  It’s not yet noon yet.
