One thing about caregiving and working with someone who is recovering from dementia is the confusion. It’s so frustrating for our loved ones that we don’t understand what they’re trying to say. It gets tiring for us to also be treated like we are just clueless. It’s the refiner’s fire. And it’s not about who is right and wrong, it’s about trying to help someone understand. Trying to understand them. And more.
But still so blessed. A year ago life was in crisis. We were told nothing could be done. Well…God had a different say in the matter.
